Room and Board Costs

Room and board charges, as well as late cancellation fees for the current year, are listed in Tuition and Fees.

A student’s total financial obligation in the event of a leave of absence, requirement to withdraw, or move off campus, can be determined from the chart on the chart in Chapter 7. In addition to the Reservation Fee, room and board charges are prorated and continue to the day a student leaves College residence. During the academic year, cancellation of room and board charges is contingent upon submitting the proper paperwork to the Office of Residential Life. Students who move off campus during the academic year must submit the proper paperwork to the Office of Residential Life; however, the complete Student Services fee continues to be assessed. For students who do not fall into one of the above categories (i.e., a leave of absence, requirement to withdraw, or move off campus) but who are absent from Cambridge for whatever reason, room and board charges continue to be assessed through the end of the term.

When a student moves into on-campus housing from off campus during the academic year, room rent and board charges will be assessed from the day the student takes up residence in the College. Full board charges are prorated to the day that the student moves on campus.
